 Children’s
knitting parties are recommended for ages 8-14 and are priced at
$25 per child which covers the cost of all
materials.
We
need a minimum of 5 and can accommodate up to 10 (this includes one
adult who is required to stay with the party).
Each group will make one project which must be
determined one week prior to the party date. You must also give us a
headcount one week prior to the party so we can prepare materials. Your
party can choose one of the following projects:

Learn to knit and begin a purse or scarf , they
will be able to take the materials home to finish the project.

Learn to use a loom, begin a project and keep
the loom to finish at home.

Learn to needle felt and make two pins or
appliqués.
Parties
can be scheduled afternoons and weekends and will run for approximately
90 minutes. You are welcome to bring cakes and drinks. You will also
need to supply your own paper products. One adult must stay with the
group at all times. In order to be respectful of the other customers in
the store everyone in your group must remain in the party room for the
duration of your party.
DEPOSIT: For
birthday parties. you will need to make a $25 non-refundable deposit to
reserve your date. We must have a firm count of numbers one week
prior. The deposit covers set-up, clean-up and instruction. The
deposit is non refundable but will be applied toward your total fees due
on the day of the party.

I
stopped by today and mentioned to Dori and Sharon Lynn that the party
was wonderful! We had eight 8 and 9 year old girls and they
loved making the loom hats. Dori and Sharon Lynn also showed them
the basics of felting which they enjoyed and the "magic" trick of
putting wool yarn back together. They came back to our house after for a
sleepover and most of the girls knitted on and off all night. Along
with pizza, cake, opening gifts and some games, the girls stayed up
until 2AM and 5 of the 8 had completed their hats by that time (the
picture with the girls and their hats was at 2AM so one was already
sleeping)! I've enclosed a few pictures of the knitting at your store
and some of the completed hats. One of the pictures is of 2 girls
knitting in the morning (without the lights on!) It was the first thing
they picked up when they woke up! We put rag curlers in their hair so
that shows you another part of our evening. Thanks so much again - it
was a fabulous party and the knitting was really a great help to me as
it gave them something to do instead of being wild!! Please let me know
if you include any of the pictures on your website as I would love to
see it.
Oh, and
by the way! One of the mothers told me today that they had to go back to
your store yesterday to buy more yarn so her daughter could make another
hat! Secondly, you may notice the picture of the two girls in the AM are
two of the girls who completed their hats and are on beginning a second
one!
